How to Rock Your Cell Portraits!

This will be a small in person, masked, socially distanced class in Prospect Park, using your smartphones. The class is for all levels and will focus on how to see like a pro portrait photographer so that your pics will bring out the most authentic, interesting qualities of your subjects within a relaxed environment. Maximum number of students: 5

Portraits are my specialty. My pics of people have appeared in the NY Times, The Daily News, Time Out NY, Broadway World, and numerous family albums .

The class will include lessons on :

+ How to choose the best natural light for portraits

+ How to position the person being photographed (yourself or others, human and canine/feline)

+ How to help the person being photographed feel comfortable and confident

+ Which angles tend to work best for portraits

+ A few basic in-phone editing tools

I'll show examples of portraits as inspiration. Here's a photo I took of singer Jubilee.

You'll leave with lots of practice and new tools and ways of thinking about portraits.

"I was excited to take Andrea Reese’s photography class and it was wonderful. The class was small, under five people, relaxed and encouraging.  There was no pressure to show your photos if you felt unsure.  It was jammed packed with photography wisdom, tips and exercises all to insure that after an hour of learning your future photographs will be better."
